Vlad looked down to Meyla. She looked beautiful in the warm glow of the fire. "Well let's just say I went on that "tour" for a little more than the sightseeing..." He took the note out of his pocket. He showed it to her. "My mother left this for me before she died in the war. She hid it in the dragons mouth in the Great Hall. I only knew she left it there because while she was dying she told a close family friend to tell me about it and to tell me that I had to find it." A tear slid down his cheek and he cursed himself for being so soft in front of Meyla. "I have no idea what it says but it must've been important for her to hide it there and send word to me that I must retrieve it," he continued, his voice breaking slightly. "Will you read it with me?" |

Meyla sat quietly and listened as Vlad explained to her the note he had found. "I shoulda known you went on that tour for a purpose," she let out a smile. Her heart sunk when she saw how sad he was. Without thinking she wrapped her arms tightly around him, "hey... it's okay. Of course I'll read it with you. You practically just helped me find my own family history." She was oddly warmed inside that Vlad could open himself up so much to her. It was getting later into the night, but Meyla was practically wide awake for the moment. |

Vlad was shocked at Meyla's hug but he loved every second of it. He held her tight with one of his arms around her and with the other he unfurled the note.......... "Dear Vladimir....." he began slowly. Both he and Meyla continued to read the note together until they reached the end. At the end of the note he dropped his gaze to Meyla. He was in utter shock. [The note contained the usual mother-son stuff but also contained news that Vlad had a sister. She had escaped the war but all that was known of her whereabouts was that she was settled somewhere to the North of Berk. YAYYYY NEW CHARRIE!!!!] |

Meyla stayed quiet for a minute after they had read the note. "You... have a sister," she finally said, as if just calcifying for herself. "Looks like we have another adventure ahead." She smiled and leaned her temple on his shoulder. |
