Vlad blushed as she held him in a seemingly more intimate place. She seemed to be hugging his bare chest rather than holding on. He wondered if she had any ulterior motives up her sleeves, which only resulted in more blushing. He swam towards the direction of the chest and sure enough it was there. It was small but a bit heavy. He yanked it out of the mud and swam to the surface. "Let's go to the shore and check this thing out," he said to Meyla excitedly. |

Meyla nodded and released him, swimming alongside and helping to carry the heavy thing through the water. It mustve been made of metal. She hopped out and helped him drag it on to the shore. She kneeled down and looked at him, before wiping some sludge off the top and front. |

As Meyla wiped away the sludge, Vlad noticed a huge, ornate lock on the front of the chest. "Ughhh we'll never get this thing open without the key. I've seen these types of locks before, they're really old. Probably fell of a Viking ship hundreds of years ago when this part of Berk was under water. We'll need the key....unless.........." he scratched his chin thoughtfully. [Hint Hint *Plasma Blast*   ]

Meyla sighed. "It's old and rusted, here." With a quick movement she smashed her elbow down on the lock and it broke off. "See? Easy," she smiled at him. She didn't want to lift the lid though... She was almost nervous- mostly because it was probably empty. |

Meyla nodded and put her hand next to his. "One... Two.... Three..." She cuked in a breath and lifted the lid. She had to wipe the lake scum off the top to see anything first. |

They lifted the lid together and together wiped the muck off of whatever was in there. [Whaddya want it to be Monica? It could be anything to aid either of our stories....I was just gonna make it a pearl necklace or something to give to Meyla but maybe we can make it a bit more interesting.] |

( maybe a necklace, but maybe it has a power or something. Of course neither would know about it till later. Maybe some metal bangles and bits of armour for the wrists or something. Something that actually belongs to one of them from when they were kids?) |

Hiccup stretched and smiled over at Toothless. "How bout an early morning flight bud?" He asked. Toothless replied with a happy gummy grin and a wiggle of his tail. After a quick breakfast Hiccup and Toothless took off. |
