Meyla gasped. She picked up a few pieces of metal and scraped the sludge off them. they were a bit worn, but with some polish would come out lovely. "These are amazing... look," she showed him one and leaned against his shoulder. "It's a chain mail forearm band. Not many of those around." She smiled and set it aside. |

She leaned on his shoulder gently and Vlad realized that even though it wasn;t major, something had changed in their relationship last night. It was like they were a bit closer now. Vlad hoped he could make it all the way. There were a few more small pieces of chainmail armor but the chainmail seemed to be the only thing in the box. Vlad was just about close it when he saw something peeking out from under some more muck. It was a silver band. He reached in and pulled it out. He was stunned. At the end of the silver band was a crafted gemstone. It couldn't be. If it was, it was the first to be seen in over a century. He turned to Meyla, astonished. "Meyla, I think this is Dragon Crystal!" |

Meyla tilted her head. "It's beautiful but... what's a dragon crystal? " She continued to busy herself with cleaning the chain mail. |

Vlad was amazed she didn't know. "Have you ever heard of a Stone of Good Fortune? It's sorta like that except for a few things. It's ten times stronger and only works when you absolutely need it. It only works once. I think that it can even save your life, but shatters afterwards. DragonWings believe they were hand-crafted in the forges of the Ausras themselves. The Ausras then scattered the few they had made all over the earth. They are extremely rare and usually only show themselves to those pure of heart. It also supposedly the hardest substance to have ever existed. It never scratches or dents and never stains. It's indestructable. If however, it is used for bad, or with malicious intent, it will kill the wearer and the shards will be reassembled somewhere else in the world to be found by another." |

Meyla blinked. "Well it sure wasn't protected against mud." She chuckled. "That's pretty cool. Don't know if it's true but I'll take the benefit of a doubt. Wash it off. Are we taking all this back with us?" |

He walked over to the water and washed of the remaining muck from the necklace. It glimmered beautifully in the sunlight now that all the muck was gone. He came back and knelt next to her. "I think the whole power thing isn't true but it's still very rare and valuable. It's beautiful and should be worn by someone who possesses it's like qualities." He reached out and clasped it around her neck. "As for the chainmail, we should take it back to my camp and not sow it to anyone in town yet. It too is valuable and we don't want to be bombarded to sell it, or worse, have it stolen. Be fore we go though I actually brought you here for another reason. Volt and I are going to teach you and Kaida to fish. Consider it breakfast," he winked at her |

Meyla stared at him in shock as he tied the necklace around her. "You mean... no- you found the chest. But..." she wanted to argue, but he had called her beautiful and she was too stunned to do anything. She felt her stomach swarm and wondered what it meant. Could she have feelings for him? Kaida perked up at the mention of fish. "Finally some food!" Meyla chuckled and stood up, she tucked the gem under her shirt after observing it for a moment longer. It was a beautiful blue and white opalescent that sent rainbows off it in the sunlight. She could have sworn that as soon as she touched it, the colour actually changed, and now matched her eyes. She leapt at Vlad and wrapped her arms around him, "Thank you!!" She beamed and squeezed him. |

After a while of running through the forest Shard started to tire. Not because of her legs and running but not being able to simply fly up and spot the camp. That's when she noticed she didn't know where she was going, the forest was unfamiliar to her. Looking around frantically for some landmark she found nothing. Siren perched on her shoulder decided now would be a good time for him to fly off. "Siren!" Shard yelled desperately,"Come back!" But Siren was already out of sight and beyond the trees. Kicking a nearby pebble Shard sat down on a nearby fallen tree and began to think. She could stay there, walk around and get herself more lost or try, key word try, to fly. Finding that trying to fly was the most productive she gingerly unraveled the bandages around her wing. Letting her wings spread out to full length she once again felt the wind pushing against her. Flapping them real quick to make sure this wasn't mistake she winced when her injured wing shot pain through her body. This however didn't stop her, she quickly climbed a nearby tree to get some height advantage. Once she was on the top she spread her wings to the wind. "Here goes nothing." She whispered nervously to herself. Closing her eyes she jumped and immediately started flapping her wings. Although she faltered a little bit she finally got to a relatively smooth glide. 'They're going to kill me for this." Shard thought to herself. |

Vlad hugged her in return. He could've sworn the gem changed to match her eyes but that only made it all the more stunning. "Come on," he said regretfully breaking their embrace, "Let's go fishing!" He held her hand and led her, while Volt led Kaida, to the best spot for fishing on the lake. It was under a large spreading oak that provided the perfect shade. It was the most perfect spot on the lake for Vlad. He reach into one of the flower bushes nearby and took out his old rod. "You can fish with this if you like or use your own methods. I used to use this before I started using my tail." He smiled at her. |

Meyla laughed. "Well I don't know how to fish with my tail, so I don't think I have a choice." She took the rod and threw it into the water. Kaida quickly followed and took her place in the water, scanning the room in front of her for any silvery flashes. She was determined to catch something. "You know... maybe just diving on the fish would be easier," she laughed and watch Kaida, who just raised her head and glared towards them. |
