What did happen that day, you ask?… Rumple happened. After a lot of persuading, Rumplestiltskin got to the boy, foolishly signing off on another deal. In return for magically removing the mark, Rumple could take any day of the boy's life he wanted. Unfortunately… that day turned out to be when he found Toothless, erasing his fate altogether.

"I'm gonna kill you dragon" A 15 year old Hiccup said as he raised his small knife above his head. He was staring into the green eyes of a large black night fury he'd just taken down early that morning. No one had believed him. Not even his own father. "I'm gonna cut out your heart and take it to my father" he held the knife in his hands ready to plunge it into the dragon. It stared at him first. Fear in it's eyes. The black dragon moaned, closed it's eyes knowing that tied up it didn't stand a chance. "I am a viking. I'm a VIKING!" He raised the knife ready to strike. But he stopped. His arms dropped down at his sides. "I did this." He looked at the poor creature who was ties up in his contraption. He started to leave then thought other wise. He began to cut the ropes that tied the dragon up. Moving quickly. As soon as it was free the dragon pounced onto Hiccup. It stared him right in the eye. Then it let out a loud roar and with that took off flying. Hiccup watched it hit a rock and the dive into the cove. He waited out of breath terrified. He finally stood up and tried to walk back home. Instead he fainted.

"Mehehehe" Hiccup woke to a strange laugh. He sat up and looked around. He jumped when he saw a strange man sitting on a rock. "Evening Dearie!" The man said in a strange high pitched voice."A little late to be out alone isn't it? Especially with wild dragons around." He said wild dragons a certain way. Like he knew something. Hiccup grabbed his knife and pointed it at the strange man.

"W-who are you?" He asked.

"Rumple's the name deal making's my game" The man said. "That's Rumpelstilkson to be exact." Hiccup stared at him confused and nervous.

"What do you want?" He questioned.

"Oh it's not what I want." Rumple said. "At least not yet anyways. It's what you want. You want your little secret to stay with the dragon to stay... A secret."
