After Vlad ensured Shard was properly seated they took off. The flew to the village in relative silence, Vlad lost in his thoughts. In a few minutes they arrived at town and landed a bit ahead of Meyla. He turned to Shard awkwardly. "Well uhmm I guess this is it for now," he said sheepishly as she dismounted Volt. "Maybe I'll see you around sometime? Like I said feel free to come visit me sometime." He then remembered something. He reached into his pack and pulled out a piece of parchment. Handing it to her he said, "Here's a map to my camp. Please don't show it to anyone, please. Youyr the only one who has a copy and I'd rather it stay that way. I'll be gone for a few though so I'll let you know when you can come visit somehow." He smiled at her and then turned to look for Meyla. She was gone. He looked around and saw her talking to another boy with a Night Fury. He could see her cheeks reddening and could tell what was happening. He knew he shouldn't b e but he was instantly angry and there was something else, was that.......jealousy? He stormed over to them. "Hello I'm Vlad and this is Volt. You are?" he said to the boy coldly. He knew the boy was at no fault but he couldn't help his attitude. |

(yeah I think the thread's dead XD) (ooooohhhhhh we gotta love square! I think...) Meyla didn't get to hear him reply before Vlad showed up. "Oh hey..." but she was cut off. She could tell he was fuming, and... she figured out why pretty quick. he was jealous? But he had just been with that Shard girl! Why was he jealous? She crossed her arms and looked at him. "Vlad, this is Aidan." She paused for a second, "so where's your girlfriend?" |

[Uhmm Vlad and Aidan like Meyla who likes Vlad (I think) who is liked by Shard? Yeah square I think lol] Vlad immediately felt his cheeks burn red. His anger was replaced all at once with confusion. "I.....Meyla we're not.............I just........ughhhh..." he flustered, feeling embarrassed to be tongue tied in front of Aidan was it? Volt could sense his discomfort and began to spark up slightly. He always did when he was angry, nervous or confused or when Vlad was in turn. Vlad took a deep breath and composed himself. "She's not my girlfriend. I only met her yesterday. The truth is I actually..........I kinda really like........." he flustered again unable to complete the sentence. He sighed heavily and looked away. He could feel his eyes watering as he tried to control his rush of emotion. He was never one to show weakness, especially in public like that and never in front of a human but he couldn't help himself. He made one last attempt, still not looking up. "I really like you Meyla," he muttered sheepishly. |

Meyla still had her arms crossed, waiting to hear his excuse. "Sorry Aidan... excuse us a second..." she grabbed Vlad's wrist and dragged him off a way, leaving Kaida with the new pair. She felt bad for meeting this new guy and then having to put him on hold. "Really... she's not your girlfriend," she said it like she didn't believe it. She took a breath, and her eyes softened. Vlad she knew was a good guy... one of the few she trusted. And how had she even gotten to trust the humans so quickly? Aidan was only the second she'd met! But she'd still like to know him better. Something about him intrigued her. She listened to Vlad stutter and try to explain, and his face was flushed, and she really wasn't quite sure what he was saying until she made out: "I really like you Meyla." She froze. He liked her? As in... liked her liked her? What?! Her heart pounded in her chest. This... was unexpected. But now she felt so unsure, about everything. Vlad was one of her few friends. Should they really risk that? She couldn't just say no... she knew he meant something to her, though she wasn't exactly sure what yet. But now she felt some sympathy. He seemed so nervous, and she knew he was telling the truth. now it was her turn... "I, uhhhh. ummm..." She slapped herself mentally. Great, now she sounded like an idiot. She lifted up his chin gently, trying to get him to look at her. "Hey... I guess I should have seen this coming, hm?" She chuckled. "Well, you know I think you're my best friend... other than Kaida of course. I'm just wondering... if you want to risk that? Because..." she rubbed her arm and bit her lip. "I like you too." |

Before he could reply to Meyla though, another Dragonwing boy and his dragon landed and walked over with a cold attitude. Aidan didn't let it faze him though and he nodded his head in greeting to them. "Hello." He replied in an unnervingly calm tone. As Meyla introduced them, he continued to smiling at the new pair. When Meyla replied asked where his girlfriend was in just as cold of a manner, it took even nerve for Aidan not to crack out into laughter at the scene. The boy was jealous of him talking to Meyla, and she was jealous of him and his girlfriend? Very entertaining to watch, but of course he didn't let it show and stood calmly by Striker. When Meyla asked to excuse them, he bowed his head as they walked away a bit and turned his attention to Striker and the other Night Fury. Striker nodded "It's always nice to meet another of your kind when there are so few in population." He sat down and curled his tail around his feet. When she said that Aidan and Meyla seemed to be getting along he nodded once more. "It seems like it. I'm very surprised, Aidan normally is very awkward around girls and stutters alot. He must seem to like her." (Omg sorry this took so long XD I got caught up in reading Divergent.) |

Kaida chortled. "This is I think the closest I've been to the town of yours here. Quite intriguing actually..." Her tail waved back and forth a bit, "really? That's surprising... Because Meyla never speaks to humans either. She feels uncomfortable around them. But clearly not with your Aidan..." She pondered. She looked over, wondering what Vlad could be talking to her about. "That one likes her too. It's obvious." |

Striker tilted his head slightly. "So you don't come here often then? It certainly is scary at first when I first came here after Aidan found me. But once you get used to it, people are actually really nice. Most of the villagers if you are nice to them, they'll offer you food whenever you pass by. It's really nice." As she spoke about Meyla- her rider presumably- Striker listened intently. "That seems interesting. The two who don't do much socialization seem to get along." Striker made a low humming sound while thinking. Shifting his gaze to Vlad he nodded. "It's kinda obvious. Did you see how red his face was when he got here? He was so jealous looking just by Aidan talking to your Meyla." |

"Well it looks like I'll have to come visit more!" Kaida rumbled. "Yes I know I'm okay with humans... But Meylas always had some doubt in her mind. Maybe..." An idea struck her," maybe Aidan could teach Meyla to like humans! Then we could visit more often, maybe even live here." She knew she was getting ahead of herself but the idea was tantalizing. "Well I just don't get involved in her relationships- she's certainly old enough to have one, and I think it's great. But... Vlad's practically her closest friend. It's a tough choice," she nodded. Kaida peered up at Aidan, glad he couldn't understand what they were saying. "But your Aidan looks likes fine young man- maybe... We should get them together," there was an evil glint in her eye. |
