Vlad looked at her questioningly. He blushed as he heard her awkward response. "Uhmm I'm sorry if that uhmm.....made you uncomfortable..." He looked sheepishly at his feet. |

Meyla snapped out of her shyness and laughed. "Ha, no... I mean... I should get used to it right? Besides, I shouldn't be afraid of anything." Of course that wasn't true, she was afraid of many things, but she realized that she shouldn't be scared. She grabbed his hand as they walked back. "I feel like this will be the last time in a while just you and I can see eachother... With your sister here she's always going to be around," she pointed out. "Maybe I should move back to the cove," she suggested sadly. |

Vlad's happiness turned quickly to another emotion at the mention of her last sentence. "Are you kidding me? Move back to the cove? You can't! I mean I want you to stay with me. My sister won't get in the way of us, I promise. For all we know she mightn't even want to stay with us. She might want to find a place of her own. She is after all older than me. She may even get a house on berk as she seems to be accustomed to civilization. Her's what, I'll make you a deal. Lt's see how the next few days go and then if you still feel the same way, I'll let you go back to the cove. Deal?" |

Meyla stopped walking before they entered the clearing again and looked up at him with a smile. "Okay... sounds good. Let's go see about introducing her to the town. I think I have a sister to apologize to as well," she grinned. Before she let him leave she leaned up and kissed him. |

Vlad was just about to respond when she kissed. He blushed and nodded, not able to wipe the smile off his face as they re-entered the clearing. Volt and Nightwing were still talking except Serena was on the ground now and Arya snores could still be heard coming from the tent. Vlad walked over to the tent, walked inside and shook her. "ARYA! WAKE UP YOU HUNK OF LOG!" Arya jumped awake a confused look on her face a yelled "COMING MOTHER!" much to Vlad's amusement. After he stopped laughing he turned to her. "Come on, we got some berries for breakfast and I think we have some fish too and you have to go meet the town today. I'm sure Jay would be happy to meet you." Arya scowled, clearly displeased at being woken. She stood, stretched and gave him a sarcastic smile before exiting the tent. Vlad shook his head. It was just what he imagined having a sister would be like. |

Meyla smiled and sat down to eat as Vlad fetched Arya. Kaida snuffled over and nudged her. "Sorry... We obit have those few fish for you." "Well fine... I can live off fish," she purred and lay down behind Meyla. She grabbed a few and handed them to her dragon keeping her wings tucked behind her. The more she thoughts out it the more she realized how self conscious she had become of her wings lately. She didn't want to be human, but they made her feel ... Almost monstrous in a humans world. Kaida gobbled the fish and licked a paw over her left forearm. "I'm glad to be back- I'm never going to recover from all that flying." Meyla laughed. |

Vlad followed Arya out the tent and saw Meyla and Kaida standing chatting. Arya went to Nightwing and as she approached Volt turned to walk back towards Vlad. "Nightwing is really interesting. Has an interesting story to tell. I like her. She's nicer than she seemed at first and on the flight back. Actually rather talkative." Vlad smiled at his dragon and nodded. He'd never heard Volt take an interest to another dragon as a friend before. Usually he liked to keep by himself. He was glad Volt and Nightwing was getting along and were well in the way to friendship rather than the opposite. A fight between the two could mean the end of Berk. Vlad called Arya and Nightwing over. "So guys, today we're going to meet Jay. She's sort of the Que.... uhmm" he stopped midway wondering how Arya and Nightwing would react to having a queen. "She's uhhmmmm sort of our Ambassador for the humans who lives here. She talks o the chief and arranges all our treaties etcetera. To be honest with you, Meyla and I are the only two Dragonwiings who still choose to live in the wild. All the others live in the village. After you meet Jay, it will be up to you to decide where you want to live and stuff. Maybe we can help you find somewhere if you don't like my clearing. After we go see Jay I'll take you to a good spot I know so we can fish for some lunch. How does that sound?" Arya thought for a bit. "That sounds wonderful doesn't it Nightwing?" The dragon nodded and she turned back to him smiling. "And then after lunch we can go look for the journal in the Sea Stack maze?" Vlad nodded. "Thanks Vlad, for everything." Vlad smiled at her. "Anytime sis" He called over Meyla to tell them they were ready to go. |

Kaida perked her head towards the group and got up hurriedly, glad to go back to town and see if those other night furies were still around. Meyla smiled and followed closely behind as the group of dragons lumbered through the trees towards town as she trailed behind the siblings. Would Jay be angry? How should she greet her? She wanted to read that journal more to ensure they were related- but perhaps Jay had read the rest of it by now. Did she even want to be a 'princess'? Meyla shook her head. The thought haunted her. She didn't know if she could be a leader, even if she was royal by blood. And the fact that she was older than Jay... Would that make her queen as well? She'd hate to kick her own newfound sister off the throne that she didn't even know if she'd want. The thoughts bothered her and she barely noticed that her arms were crossed, her brows furrowed, and she was muttering to herself. |
