Meyla and Kaida noticed the smoke. "What on EARTH is going on?" She yelled. "Come on." With that, she leaped off the ground and soared over, to see a forest fire emitting plumes of smoke near Berk. "What should we do?" "Go see if there's anyone we can help!" They raced over and towards the flames. She saw a boy (Hiccup) racing towards them, her age actually. And although he was human, she didn't care- they needed to see if anyone was in danger. She called into the forest: "IS ANYONE IN THERE? HELLO!?" |

Shard was more shocked than surprised as she saw multiple figures around the smoky cove. But it wasn't until she heard someone yell " IS ANYONE THERE? HELLO?" That she went into a pain if attack. Forgetting her broken wing she tried (key word tired) to reach the edges of the steep cove by flight. However this only resulted in her falling and hitting her head on one of the many boulders surrounding the edges. Dazzling her and causing her vision to blur, and before she knew it she saw only darkness. |

Phoenix saw a figure try to fly. "It's a dragonwing trying to get out of the smoke." She yelled. She swooped in and tried to look for the figure. She found her, picked up using her mouth and lifted her out of the flames. Pandora smelled smoke, she opened the window facing the forest and saw the cause. The forest was burning near her house and Phoeninx was no where to be seen. She saw Hiccup running toward the flames. "Why are you going toward the flames. I thnk there are dragons in the forest to help already." She yelled at him. Grima saw that Phoenix was at the fire already. She looked like she was carrying another dragonwing. "How many dragonwings live on the island?" He thought. |

Just as Hiccup called to get Toothless' attention he heard someone calling, he turned "WHERE ARE YOU?" he called, he hadn't realized how close he'd gotten and the smoke was close enough to make him cough. He waved his arms above his head hoping whoever called would see him. Toothless had been resting while waiting for Hiccup to come back with the fire wood at the house, when he was late he'd jumped out the window in search of his rider. The call told him he needed help, and it came from the direction of the forest... on Fire? He raced towards where he heard the call using his ecolocation to find Hiccup. Toothless found him confused as to why he was waving his arms when he stood beside his rider and looked he could see the faint outline of someone. |

Meyla saw the boy run into the smoke. Was he insane? A flash of black followed. "Woah what was that?" Kaida asked. "Let's find out." Meyla walked into the smoke beating her wings furiously to clear the air a bit, and tried to keep her head low. She walked towards where she had seen the boy disappear. "Hey! Come on now!" She stopped when she saw him, coughing... But there was something else. A night fury. There were more? She held her scarf over most of her face to block the smoke, and didn't wait for him to answer before she grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her. She beat her wings again trying to clear his own air, before walking back out of the forest. Kaida bounced over to investigated when Meyla tumbled out of the smoke with the boy. Meyla coughed out the smoke from her lungs and looked at him. He would only be able to see her eyes. "You can't just walk into a fire! I don't think anyone else is in there okay, don't worry..." She finished with another bout of coughing. The fire didn't seem to be getting stronger, just large smoke plumes. She sat on the grass and made sure the human could breath properly. |

Dragon-Hugger

He had barely got to meet Kaida before they both took off towards the fire. Volt and Vlad took off alongside Meyla and Kaida and sort of hovered next to them as best they could. After a quick look around, the both DragonWings and their dragons raced towards the flames. As they landed, Vlad noticed that Meyla was looking at something and followed her gaze. He saw a human guy of about his age running towards the forest. He halted for a mere second before deciding that helping anyone who needed it was more important than his insecurities about the humans. Then he saw something else. It was a black shape trailing behind the boy. It looked oddly familiar, kinda like Kaida he thought. He decided to go investigate the boy and his dragon later. "IS THERE ANYONE THERE!" he yelled. He heard Meyla shouting as well but they both got no response. Suddenly he noticed the silhouette of a Monstrous Nightmare with..........wait was that...........A DRAGONWING IN HER MOUTH?!?!?!?? He rushed over in the direction of the dragon hoping that Volt saw him and was following. He saw Meyla running of into the direction the human boy and his dragon had gone but kept on towards the Monstrous Nightmare. (Can someone please tell me if it's night or day because Meyla and Vlad were both in day while Shard seemed to be operating at night. Now all the characters-or at least most of them- are meeting together at the sight of the fire, which started at night soooooo is it like day or night or an eclipse or what?   )

Phoenix saw the crowd of dragonwings and dragons running and started to land in front of them. Phoenix climbed out of the window she was watching the ordeal from and then she saw Phoenix with the dragonwing in her mouth. She gasped and hastened her escape from the confines of her house until she got out of the window and started running toward her dragon. Grima saw Phoenix land and put the dragonwing down. He adjusted his course and started to fly faster to see if Pandora could help. |

Hiccup tried to pull away and Toothless was appalled that something was trying to take him away. He followed. Hiccup yelped being pulled away. When the thing that grabbed him pulled him away from the smoke he managed to re-catch his breath after a coughing fit.. Toothless came up and gently nuzzeled him relieved his rider was okay. "I'm okay bud," Hiccup said pushing Toothless back as he stood up. He jumped back when this thing spoke and he saw two eyes looking at him. "W-what are you?" He questioned moving closer to get a better look, dispute Toothless' protests to back up. It had completely distracted him from the fire. |

Meyla raised an eyebrow, although he could only see her bright blue eyes. "I'm a Dragon Wing... apparently there are a ton living in your town. And you're a human. Where'd you get a night fury?" She asked, sticking out a hand to the dragon. Kaida bounced over and stopped dead, seeing the dragon. "Meyla?" Meyla smiled at Kaida, "It's another night fury! I didn't know there were more..." Kaida wasn't sure what to do. Should she be defensive? angry? Or greet this dragon? It wasn't every day she saw a dragon of her own species. Meyla finally felt like her breath was cleared. "So, what's your name?" She held out a hand to help him up. |
