Derik looks at Ika and Hagen and smiles. He starts thinking about what their next move should be towards making the war end with them as the vicotrs... Their country was never very prosperous in economic means but they always had enough. However, he felt the country deserved more. He could use the negotiations to his advantage if he was there alone. He chuckles. "This could go very well or very poorly. Either way, I'll end up with a dagger in my back and my body dumped in the ocean." He looks out ahead of the ship and stops paying attention to his deck hands. |

It was Hagen's greatest wish to be rid of the war (and every problem that plagued his people, really, but a leader cannot be too unrealistic with his expectations). Should their tribe fight for victory, or could they attain peace in a less bloody manner? "Well, Derik, are we heading home?" |

Derik snapped out of his trance. "Huh? Oh, We are. We're going to be at sea over night unfortunately... The weight of everyone and the damages from the storm are making it harder for her to go much faster than she is now. I'd suggest everyone get comfortable. We're alive but this'll be a long return trip home." |

"Hmph- alright. Nothing we can do about storm damage." The chief wasn't exactly comfortable with any speed less than what the ships were built for, but he also wasn't fully trained as a boat engineer. Small things? Sure, but a lot of damage is different. With a heavy heart, he volunteered to take the first watch with a few other men. They wouldn't be out of troubled waters until they were home, and, even then, danger might follow them. |

(Shall we skip to the morning?) "Under the moon, the water exhales." Sounded like a bit of a poem or something- all too sentimental for Hagen. He sighed somewhat tiredly and settled against the mast as he watched the ocean sprawl around them. |

(sure) Derik looks out at the illuminated sea until the sun rises and then he looks at the sunrise and sighs. They made it through the storm and the ship hasn't sunk as much as he thought she would. He sees rocks sticking out of the ocean. "Hagen, we're almost home." Derik laughs as well. |

The chief replies with a cough, a thing that will be common among the drenched, cold sailors in the coming days, but he grins at the sun. "Excellent. Boys, Derik's done it! We are almost there!" His voice sounds weak and hoarse, and he uses a hand to steady himself as he leans against the side of the ship. |
