Once everyone is in the air, they fly north towards Armorwing Island. As soon as they are close enough to be spotted, Skotadi drops low to the surface of the water, skimming over it and sometimes going under it to duck under small boats. Upon reaching the island, they go to a specific bunch of trees. Zira pulls aside a bunch of leaves in just the right places and the right order, and voila! There's a hiding place big enough to accommodate fifteen people and their dragons. "A few years ago, I built a shelter on each and every island I could find in case someone got stranded there someday," explains Zira. "We're not stranded, but I thought we might want to keep a low profile, you know, because of the Hunters and the wild Armorwings everywhere." She lit a ire in the central pit. "Come in! We're going to be here a while if we want to know what's really happening." |
