If you mean how Thornado left then that's explained in DoB Bing! Bam! Boom!. If you're talking about how Stoick got his new dragon I guess will have to wait and see if the second movie talks about it at all. I'm actually curious how close their relationship might be in the movie, and how much having to let Thornado go impacts his relationship with a new dragon. Although considering the movie will more than likely keep it's self fairly separate from the series I doubt there will be much of an effect. |

Kinda glad they got rid of thornado, his new dragon is like 10 times more bad*** and suits him better, in my opinion |

The way i see it is that the guys making the film wanted him to have something else, which means that Thornado had to be written out of the series THIS season so that people don't go 'What happened to Thornado?' |

I read (not here ) that season 3 of the show is supposed to explain what happens between season 2 and the 2nd movie. |

Actually, i do believe that in the wondercon event, Dean said that season 3 would be based on the second film. |

Yep its going to be more specific to the events that happen in the second movie, and not just random adventures with no relation to anything. Of course thats only if it even gets a third season at all... though I think it will. |
