So this is just to discuss some things that maybe you were hoping to see in HTTYD 2 and didn't, or things that after you saw it, you wish were there. For me, I would have loved to see a scene where Stoick introduces Valka to Skullcrusher. I just feel that it would have gone a long way in her seeing how much he's changed and it could have been a really neat moment. Plus I would have liked to see more of Skullcrusher in all. Also, I would have liked to see Valka inquiring about how Hiccup lost his leg, and her insights on the Red Death. I understand why she might have been hesitant to ask, but I still think it would have made a good scene. I'm not sure the Peg leg scene is detailed enough for her to really know what happened. Anyone else? |

Yeah, i think it would have been nice to see Valka react more to his leg and the fact that he defeated the red death, but I can understand why they didn't include that dialogue, it would have sounded too much like they were giving a shoe-horned summary of the first movie when its not necessary. I would have personally liked to see Valka actually meet Astrid, actually theres a lot of things I would have liked to see Valka do, but I understand that there wasn't really enough time for all that. This is kind of along the lines of something "missing" but I think it would have been powerful if when Hiccup was trying to reason with Drago, he pointed out the fact that his village had also been destroyed countless times by dragons, he grew up thinking dragons had killed his mother, dragons are responsible for the disability of a close family friend and himself (though obviously not under the same circumstances, but still), yet he still saw dragons as peaceful creatures despite everything. |

Valka meets Astrid, Valka meets Skullcrusher, Eret having more direct conversation with Drago. Maybe the third one will be in the Third film. |

I wish that they had put in more scenes in between the Haddock Family Reunion and Stoick's death. I think that it would have made Stoick's death even more heart-wrenching than it already was. Those scenes could have also made Stoick and Valka's relationship so much more stronger. It could have made the entire families' relationship with each other stronger. I was actually kind of surprised that Hiccup didn't bring up anything that you said above. I was really expecting him too when Drago mentioned all that stuff about his past. |

When Hiccuo explained about Toothless' tail and he says "but he got even. You couldn't save all of me right bud? And so, peg leg!" I would expext a mother to question what her son means by "couldn't save all of me" i was hoping for a sceene where she questions about it andnhe explains about the red death and hoe he saved everyone back then too. Maybe in a deleted sceene? |
