So I highly doubt that it's going to happen. I think that's the case with most spoilers that will inevitably make their way onto the forum in the next month. It's always a case of hearing it second-hand from someone who heard of it second-hand, etc. Of course there's a possibility of certain spoilers posted here to be true, but I wouldn't count on anything.

Seriously, I can safely say without exaggeration that I am very happy about that spoiler. In regards to its reliability, it is supposedly in the Art of HTTYD 2 book, but I'll admit that I didn't see it in any of the scans I've seen. Let me have another look.
	Number of times I've watched the trailer: 18. My pet peeve: people who refer to complete strangers by their first name. The correct ways to refer to a "John Smith" whom you have never met are Smith, Mr Smith, or John Smith. Not "John". He's not your buddy.

I agree that it would be a strong plot point that would really add to the story. I just don't like to trust spoilers without a reliable source haha. Also, I didn't see anything about it in the art book either, I'll have to check it out again too.

Seriously, this is actually the closest I've seen to evidence of Toothless doing anything other than look cute and be everyone's bitch - not counting another recent spoiler. With that said, the word "catalyst" is interesting. In order to technically be a catalyst, something must bring about change in others without changing itself. That doesn't exactly fill me with hope for Toothless getting character development. Still, perhaps I shouldn't be trusting a musician to know chemistry terms. And of course, all that is assuming that Powell's vague words are actually accurate. As I've said in the past, it's one thing to say that some character is going to be important in the film, or that some issue is going to be explored; it's another thing entirely to actually do it. The good day continues, though that was a minor attraction.
