That was a touching moment. Hiccup's face...you can see how much he is really longing to fit in somewhere, and he thinks he may have found it.

It looks like a metal resemblance of a dragon paw (I remember reading somewhere that it was forged from strong metal to resemble a dragon foot). But dang, just look at that thing! Not only could he use that to convince dragons he's one of their own because it looks like a dragon's paw, but that is a serious weapon! He could bash someone's/something's head to pieces or claw them up real good!
