Eclipse_Wolven, can you PM me that scene, exactly what happens and how everyone reacts? I am going to take my lil brother with me so it's important me to know what's going to happen in that scene.

Can somebody who has seen this scene either post or message me about how graphic/intense it is (even better if you are a parent). I have a 4 y/o who loves, loves, loves HTTYD. Has been watching the released HTTYD2 clips like crazy. But I am worried about his ability to understand and not be extremely upset by this scene as several reviews have said it might be too much for the youngest viewers.

And if you think it might be best to slip him out of the theater for a few minutes during that scene until he gets a bit older, is there anything we can look for to let us know it would be time for a "bathroom break" or "concession run"
If you're wondering about how violent it is, then you don't have much to worry about. It's not that violent and obviously there's no blood because the movie's rated PG. It's sad because you love these characters and their reactions to what happens are really sad, but I think kids should be able to handle it. If you want, I can PM you and describe the entire scene so you can decide for yourself (I would have to spoil some stuff though if I do that, be warned).
That would be great. I don't mind spoilers, I am more concerned about making it special for my kid than myself (too young to see the first one in the theater). I figured it probably would not be bloody/gory a la GoT. More worried about him not being able to understand/be upset about why his favorite character would do something like that to another character he loves, especially if we see it vs. just being told/hinted at it happens. Don't want a hysterical 4 y/o.

Okay, I PMed you both the description of that scene. I described it as best I could from what I remember about it (I only saw the movie once thus far), though I might have missed a little/mistaken a line or two.

Movie has gotten so dark now haha,

I always preferred the lighthearted sugarcoating, but from a managerial point of view, it was probably best for DWA to not rehash the movie. ^o)

What happens to the other characters?

I think I know what happens to them, but I'm just curious.
"There's something you must remember when riding a dragon. There's no manual, no safety harness, no guarantees when you're on one of these beasts. All you have is the wind in your hair, and the clothes on your back. The only thing between you and that dragon is your saddle. You need to hold onto it for dear life, as that creature takes you the skies. That, is dragon riding."

Well, I definitely know Hiccup becomes chief. But what happens to Drago, the bewilderbeasts, Valka, Cloudjumper, Eret, Skullcrusher, and Gobber?

Drago is defeated, it's unclear if he dies. Valka's bewilderbeast is killed by Drago's, who ends up running off. Valka and Cloudjumper remain on Berk, Eret becomes Skullcrusher's rider, and Gobber is Gobber.

Ok, thanks! That's what I thought would happen.
