I didn't cry when Stoick died, but I did tear up when Hiccup yelled at Toothless to "Get away from him!" and then he started crying over Stoick's body…
but I actually cried when (after Stoick's ship had been set on fire) Hiccup said something along the lines of (while talking about his father) "How do you become someone so great/brave?" and a lot of other things that made me cry :(
Hiccup yelling is just so emotional. This really srt off the little girl in front of my mom too. You could tell she was already upset from Stoick dying but Hiicup yelling at Toothless just upset her so much.
My mom said the two kids a few seats beside her got upset at this too.
I think all 18 of us in the theater were. I mean aside the girl crying it was dead quiet during those moments.

I feared up both while Toothless was being yelled at by Hiccup and during Hiccup's selfless and brave speech at Stoick's funeral. :'(

It was so sad for me! I instantly covered my mouth in shock!

As for the topic, I didn't cry, but teared up furiously at several moments.
What should I write on my signature? Hmm...
I am a Httyd, Gravity Falls and Portal (One and two) fan.
I'm also a bookworm and an introvert.
That was pretty random, but that's me summed up in two sentences.

I cried during Stoick and Valka's reunion and Stoick's funeral.

"I would always rather be happy than dignified.”

I did not cry during the film, but I think I was just trying to take everything in. I had this feeling of, "I only get to see this movie for the first time once." I didn't watch clips and featurettes to preserve that wonder of the first time. My boyfriend said I just sat there with my eyes really big the whole time.

Then the next morning, Stoick's death hit me randomly and hard. Literally, my boyfriend and I were at work, he walked away for thirty seconds, came back, and I was in tears.

I mourn fictional characters (I remember the end of Order of the Phoenix being very difficult). I think, to use the Kübler-Ross model, I just went from denial to anger to depression and didn't know it until I got to depression. I'm still pretty shaken up to be frank.

I teared up when Valka and Stoick were reunited, and almost sobbed when Stoick died. It just kept flowing until the end of his funeral scene.

What do I put here again?

The reunion was amazing, and the funeral was just heart wrenching. The eulogy added to the sadness. THE FEELS TRAIN LEFT THE STATION at those scenes and it hasn't come back

i dont think my avatar is working but ehh

I didn't actually cry during those scenes, which is unusual. I knew it was gonna come. I teared up, I covered my mouth, I prepared myself for a sob, but that was all. I just sat there looking like a sick penguin, covering my mouth. My friend was like sobbing so much during the funeral scene, her brother had to throw popcorn at her face. After the funeral scene, I still had my arm in my face, so she decided to throw coke at me. Not nice of her.

But the scenes that made me sad was Hiccup yelling at Toothy, the funeral and that's it.
i'm not very active anymore!! it's sad, but i'll come back sometimes to feel nostalgic ahaha

Yes, I teared up at Gobber's eulogy and Stoick's funeral but I didn't cry at all. Even the second time I saw it. However, in my second go at the movie, I was almost bawling when Astrid and the others fired at the ship right after Hiccup did. There was something incredible about that scene that really touched me.

"How do you become someone that great?" man, my heart broke at Hiccup's small speech, too.

Uff da, yo.

Stoick's death was more heartbreaking than all those Disney deaths combined. And that does include Mufasa as well.
