1. Oddly, no. And I'm usually a crybaby with this sort of thing. But then again, I didn't cry for Sirius Black either. I did find the following scenes to be very moving though. 2. Honestly, all of Toothless's antics had me grinning like crazy. Well, all except that one obvious one... 3. Little bit. I wanted to geek out over this, but I don't think my husband is nearly as crazy about it as I am. XD 4. He seemed a lot bigger to me. But remember, in the first movie they shamelessly scaled characters whenever they wanted to, including the Red Death, sooooo..... 5. Nope. It was funny, but at no point was I reaching for an inhaler. 6. I didn't *expect* them to pull this in the second movie, but Hiccup proving himself a leader has kinda been a sideplot all along. It's where he belongs. 7. No. Actually, I felt that for what it was, everything was wrapped up quite nicely. I was thankful for a lack of cliffhangers. (I kinda expected one after all the "empire strikes back" comments from DreamWorks.) Now, I have a question. Who here had a mental image of a "Bowl of Petunias" during a certain gag at the end of the movie? ![]() |

Yes. I cried like an absolute baby, and some of my "acquaintances" (former friends;)) laughed, because I cried at an animated movie. Tell me what's wrong with that? My other friends (who cried as well, and coincidentally, are still in the friends section, assured me there was nothing wrong with it. Yes, but I almost hurled. My friend, the feels haven't stopped, even though I saw the movie more than 48 hours ago. Yes! But I bet it wasn't. Glad I wasn't the only one to notice that. Uh huh. When the light started dimming, I nearly choked my sister with excitement. I didn't want that at first, but I have come to accept it now. I think he is ready (I sound like Yoda. Not good.) It was way too short! Best 105 minutes of my life, even though it only felt like 10. I keep going over the whole thing in my head, and thinking, wow, it seemed short. |

1. I was kind of surprised that I didn't shed a few tears, but I think I was in shock. 2. Of course, it's Toothless! 3. YES! 4. I don't know ... the Bewilderbeasts were placed in very large environments, but I would think they were around the same size or larger? 5. Almost 6. Yes and no. I wanted Hiccup to become chief, since I think he is the best for that role, but I thought that he'd have Stoick to mentor him a bit more. I don't think any of us wanted it under these circumstances ... but resilient Hiccup will rise to the occasion. ![]() 7. I wanted more, of course! The pacing near the end seemed fast and I wish they expanded on parts, but ... |
