Man.....I have not posted here since around the release of this movie in 2014. It is utterly insane how fast time goes or should I say flies. hehe. I honestly have overall not really collected from this as much since the last movie ended in 2019, but I do still have this account. It is so nice to be posting here again. I am now 31, I feel old (lol) and still loving things all HTTYD. (I was 20 when HTTYD 2 released and going to community college) I am beyond excited for the section at Universal next year. I definitely will be going insane with the merch once I go. XD Anyway, I probably don't remember a lot of you since I only posted every so often, but I definitely did forget about this forum. I just happen to check it randomly and find this post. lol. I hope everyone here has been well. Appreciate everyone here.

Glad to see the Grapevine survives. Oh man, I remember when the first teaser trailer came out. I would watch it on my tablet every single morning before the bus picked me up to take it to school. Like, every morning. I'd watch that teaser trailer again and again, grinning, until it was time to go to school. Here's to us Dragon Trainers and Dragon Riders! Long may we soar forevermore! |

That reminder email brought back some memories... For those few that read this (yes, I know it's a bit late) looking back at the forum really gave me nostalgia haha. Not just for everything HTTYD but also the time of my life back then. The days when we were still completely spamming each news topic with hunderds of comments each day to just talk random stuff mixed with all the HTTYD news in the leadup to HTTYD 2. Which then was turned into these forums because honestly it was such a mess hahaha. I don't know if any of the people from spring/summer 2014 are still here but thank you all for a great time back then. But wow 10 years ago already... The reason I vanished here after HTTYD 2 came out was because I moved for universtiy to a new city and well new place, new friends and new interests in a way. Even that feels so long ago now with me being an adult now and working a full time job. Hopefully all the people after us from the first generation so to say had a great time here. A bit late to the game here. What a wonderful chance to look back on HTTYD 2! Lots of nostalgia for the release, and spending time on this forum. Thanks hictooth for the lovely unexpected message! I actually met up with several people from this forum to see the premiere in Cupertino, California, including Icelandic Eel and Hideous Zippleback. It was a "Dragon Double" feature, with the original and sequel played back to back. It was my first time seeing the original on the big screen. Both movies were in 3D! I remember being amazed by the 3D floating ash after the Green Death battle. Also at the screening were some of the Dreamworks team who worked on the movie. They handed out Dragon Cards like the one Fishlegs consults in the movie. Mine was a Monstrous Nightmare. I was so excited to listen to the HTTYD2 soundtrack as soon as I had seen the movie. I think I played it on the drive back home from the theater. At my desk, I still have the HTTYD2 shrine that I constructed shortly afterwards. It has a newspaper clipping with a review, my tickets from my two viewings, the dragon card, and 3D glasses.   Hope everyone's flying high and finding ways to keep the dragons in their lives. |

Man its been a while since I've accessed this lil corner of the internet, life happens ig :) but it felt fitting that my first ever post be on the occasion oh HTTYD 2's (Belated) Anniversary. I distinctly remember stumbling across this forum wayy back in 2014 when i was frantically searching online for the second installment's release date, been a lurker on this forum ever since lol. HTTYD 2 has a special place in my heart as it was the last movie I watched with my dad before his untimely passing. Suffice to say, watching Stoick's last moments still brings a tear to my eye. Stumbling upon this forum reminds me of the profound impact the HTTYD series has had on my life (as I'm sure it had on all those who watched it and were enthralled by it). I hope the HTTYD community will prosper with the help of the upcoming live-action remake (and maybe our little forum will get to greet new members !) Until then, I bid you all a very fond adieu.
