I guess I'm a little sadistic with the characters I love, besides if a character do not experience some kind of trouble/problem the story it's not that interesting.

Yeah I guess but I don't really want to come out of the theater crying my eyes out...

I wouldn't be opposed to him getting physically hurt if it were done in an interesting way that added to the plot, but it would be difficult to do that in a way that didn't seem a bit redundant. Hurting him emotionally seems like the better and more likely option.
Come death. Come suffering. I will not live in fear. In this fleeting life where time escapes us, the path of least resistance is a slow quiet death. I'd rather burn out than fade away.

I'm rooting for some emotional scarring (I'm a jerk). I just think that sometimes emotional scarring is worse than losing a limb or breaking some bones...

Well, if he does lose the other leg, he can just be like: "Oh well, looks like I have a date with the forge when we get back." :P

In all seriousness, I agree that the loss of another character or something else would be much more weighted than just nixing another body part.

I agree with what others have said. I think it'll be more emotional damage this time around, such as the death of another major character (Stoick, etc.) or the near death experience of one of Hiccup's closest friends (Toothless, etc.).

If something happens to another character and it was at least partially Hiccup's fault, THEN things will get interesting. That's the kind of thing that causes emotional and psychological damage...and makes good plots.

I do not want to be bad but I think the Stoick will die because of age is old or during the war
