On the contrary, my problems with her are based on concrete facts - either things that she's done, or things that her existence and/or abilities cause. I challenge you to find one problem I have with Valka that isn't.

Although that does remind me that I should get around to making a single list of some description, listing my problems with Valka in one easy source for immediate access. It's worked well with similar problematic material in the past. Perhaps that is a task I should undertake this week.
Number of times I've watched the trailer: 18.

My pet peeve: people who refer to complete strangers by their first name. The correct ways to refer to a "John Smith" whom you have never met are Smith, Mr Smith, or John Smith. Not "John". He's not your buddy.

You proved my point by quitting? Hmm, maybe it's one of those zen things, because it certainly doesn't make any sense to me. Remember one thing: I'm in the position of wanting to like HTTYD 2, so convincing me to like Valka should be a simple matter of either providing a logical argument for why I should like her, or countering my points about why I dislike her. Seems like a simple task, if truth is on your side.

The problem is, David, there is no convincing you of anything. You've clearly made us aware of who you are because you're a well-known troll who likes nothing better than to make people angry. We are here because we all enjoy the same franchise and want to discuss it. Your purpose seems only to be to spew your evident hatred for the movie because of your endless faults with one character. There is absolutely no way you can know everything that occurs from watching less than 5% of the overall film. You're jumping to all these twisted conclusions without really thinking about the context on a lot of these quotes and it's making me want to flame up like a Monstrous Nightmare. If you don't think it will be as good as the first, fine. If you don't like it's storyline/ characters/quotes or whatever, fine, but please do not continue to spread your word vomit around this forum where it is not wanted. You've been doing this for far too long on the main site, and I'm not willing to start putting up with it here. Not only is it downright disrespectful to both the creators and the community, but it's extremely irritating. Enough is enough.

I'm sorry to have to sound like a horrible person, but you've taken your negatives with this film to such an extent that I felt this was necessary. I don't mind an interesting discussion on theories and your opinions on them, whether that's liking or disliking, but you've taken a tendency to just bashing down any point that doesn't agree with you and that's not right.

Do you think Valka's dragon sanctuary will be destroyed ? I do fear for it. Not just for Valka but for the dragons. This is just a prediction of course but Dean hinted that the series might end quite like the books, saying why there wasn't dragons around. So I don't think if Drago is defeated, that they'll simply just be able to live elsewhere/freely.
I'd like to see a lot of it in the film, but not in pieces.
Although that could provide for an interesting dynamic ~


((I also just don't know how far away she exists from Berk, so if Berk was the center of attack, it might be fine, however))

I want the heart of the film still to be present. I also am super excited to view the sequence between Valka and Hiccup's aerial battle when they meet for the first time.

I hope there will be many scenes with the Bewilderbeast(s). When the toys were released, I didn't like the design, it looked completly stupid, but after the first scenes from the moive, it is my favourite new dragon.

Dude I don't care if people like her or dislike her. Everyone is going to have their own gut reaction to a character. I'm not saying you can't feel anything towards her until you see the movie. What bothers me is when you roll out this list of all the things wrong with her and most of them are based on your own assumptions yet you go parading them around like they're fact. Your assumptions are just that- assumptions. Nothing you assume about her is valid until you've seen the movie and have concrete evidence to back yourself up, you're just blowing hot air and pretending like its wise insight.
I actually agree with Eret. People can have their opinions but that becomes a problem when you try to make your opinion fact. An opinion is just what it is, an opinion and unless you have solid proof it will never be a fact. Why so negative all the time. While I enjoy all opinions as everyone is entitled to their own and different opinions are fun as you get to see things from a different point of view, all your opinions seem somewhat negative. If you have nothing good to say about anything then why are you here?

Hey hey Science I totally agree with you. I hade to deal with him a few times on a long ago topic on the forum and he was continues rude. So thank you for stating this.

And to this argument I didn't wholly trust Valka for awhile, her body language threw me off in the first trailer and then the third trailer came out and I now like her A LOT.
