I've even changed my location to "my dark soggy alone place" on my profile
Schnuckles it's not cool! What if.. Spoiler: click to toggle he kills valka stoick or cloudjumper and destroys his relationship with hiccup
Besides that's not the toothless I know....
There we have the unholy offspring of lighning and death itself, he is still a dragon and Spoiler: click to toggle maybe he have to do it to save hiccup?
But by the sounds of the review he kills one of the good guys. I'm feeling like I do and don't want to httyd 2 at the moment
Put that in a spoiler tab please!

If he Spoiler: click to toggle kills Valka, then I will leap out of my seat and give a shout of joy. Totally not the reaction DeBlois would have been going form but hey, that large an amount of awesomeness would still go a long way toward making it a good movie.
But yeah, I don't think for a moment that that will happen.

Number of times I've watched the trailer: 18.
My pet peeve: people who refer to complete strangers by their first name. The correct ways to refer to a "John Smith" whom you have never met are Smith, Mr Smith, or John Smith. Not "John". He's not your buddy.

I’m SO SO SO glad that Hiccup and Toothless’ relationship is getting tested in a much more serious way than was hinted at in the Art book. I mean, glad in a weird way. It’s gonna hurt, especially if it is who I think it is. But I’m gonna be happy about it.
why do their relationships needed to be tested? I've already seen enough of that in DoB and RoB

Spoiler: click to toggle Thinking on it, I highly doubt it's Stoick or Valka. Hiccup finally has a working relationship with Stoick and Valka is the mother he just found. It's really hard to go back when your best friend kills your parent and the movies are all about their friendship. As dark as Dreamworks is trying to make it, I don't think they want that kind of resentment marring their relationship.
Cloudjumper is, I think, the most likely. I don't know if he counts as a key supporting character but his relationship with Hiccup is the most distant so while Hiccup would be angry, he would probably get over it faster than if Toothless accidentally killed one of his friends. Valka would be crushed but she's also lived among dragons for 20 years so I feel she must have seen dragons fight and kill each other at some point so she may be more forgiving.
Unless, of course, they're trying to play the "Toothless was mind-controlled so it's not his fault" card in which case anyone is game.

The essence of drama is conflict. Without it, you just have mindless, meaningless fluff. No one above the age of ten (and I think even that would be stretching things) wants to watch a movie where everyone's happy all the time.

Seems like a lot of people disagree with my previous statement about... well... you know. WELL I STAND BY IT:
Spoiler: click to toggle I hate to say it but I think one of the main characters (possibly Valka) is going to die. And if Toothless does kill her, than so be it, might as well make it intersting and not make it seem like everything is all lovely and happy. A little strain between Hiccup and Toothless is what I want to see. Sorry if you disagree
