Valka x Astrid

Just, no. I cannot fathom the amount of disgust! Not saying I don't like non-canon pairings. But this one? I scoff at the face of it.
...What? There's really a Valka/Astrid out there? *Shrivels up and dies*

That's one of the sickest things I've ever heard.
"There's something you must remember when riding a dragon. There's no manual, no safety harness, no guarantees when you're on one of these beasts. All you have is the wind in your hair, and the clothes on your back. The only thing between you and that dragon is your saddle. You need to hold onto it for dear life, as that creature takes you the skies. That, is dragon riding."

I hate HiccupXJack. In fact, I hate any paring that features a character not from the HTTYD canon. It just feels wrong to have a character that doesn't belong there in love with someone there.
I agree, it's just flat out stupid.

AstridxValka ain't so bad. Only thing I would really have a problem with is the extremely large age difference...

For what it's worth, I actually read a pretty good justification for one-sided Astrid/Toothless on TV Tropes. Here's the quote:
Quote:

Astrid actually has a crush on Toothless but is projecting it onto Hiccup for obvious reasons.
Think about it; Astrid isn't willing to listen to Hiccup until he gives her a magical dragon ride on Toothless. Besides, if she liked Hiccup so much, why would she devote so much time to saving the dragons. She's been training to fight dragons her entire life - you'd think that she'd hold some sort of grudge against them, Toothless in particular, since he's the one who takes up most of her "boyfriend"'s time.
Not bad, actually; definitely something that could be worked with in a fanfic. It probably doesn't work well with HTTYD 2, but then, every single pairing that contradicts Hiccup/Astrid has that problem.
Any pairing that involves humans and dragons would be considered bestiality. So no, it wouldn't work.

I find that very creepy. It almost sounds like a plot for a soap opera.

The obvious question then is, "Why is bestiality wrong?" In the real world, the only explanation that really holds up is "animals can't give informed consent." As I've already discussed, Toothless is more than intelligent enough to give that, so a pairing involving him and a human is not inherently wrong. It's definitely not my thing, but then, neither are a lot of pairings.
Number of times I've watched the trailer: 18.

My pet peeve: people who refer to complete strangers by their first name. The correct ways to refer to a "John Smith" whom you have never met are Smith, Mr Smith, or John Smith. Not "John". He's not your buddy.

So you're suggesting it's ok to abuse an animal? It doesn't matter how intelligent it is, he's still an animal and he deserves respect. Hurting an animal like that is extremely cruel and unnatural.
