This post is a great idea for older people like me !  I'm amazed at the age range we cover ! and it feels good, because it's not always that easy to deal with such a passion (obsession ?), well, especially where I live (there's a kind of short-minded idea here that if you love animation when you're an adult, you're weird !), and with a bf who got sick of dragons !It's true it's great to have kids around and be fans together ! I wish I could have shared something like that with my parents, but very soon, my mother hated the idea that I kept sticking with cartoons as I grew up ! To no avail, because well, I've waited for hours at Annecy to see the movie, can't stop myself from buying toys, like so many of us... and NO regrets ! I love the idea of a more "adult" thread, but I'd like to find another word, because it would be more like of a deeper, more reflexional (is that an actual word ?) discussion, which means everybody who wants to go that way can join. |

How about Critical and Raw? For some reason 'raw' is the word that kind of explains what I'm thinking about. I don't want to exclude the younger fans, of course, I just think that probably we could talk about the movie in a deeper level that may not be suitable for I don't know... younger teens? It's hard to explain it and 'suitable' isn't even a good word, I guess... so how about serious? Let's talk about it more seriously? Well, anyways, someone should open a topic and then we'll see what happens. |
