Then at the funeral, the situation is even sadder because Hiccup has lost his father and his friend, and he understands what he has done... and the final scene would be stronger if there's a mutual forgiving...

Before you read the tag, I want to say that curiosity does kill the cat. In this case, everyone that read the spoiler tag are the cats. Please don't read it and complain about me spoiling one of the most important plot points in the movie. Read it at your own cost. Spoiler: click to toggle It's true. Stoick will die in the movie. And he was killed by Toothless. I was for sure the review that said it was lying... To me, it doesn't affect me that much but I'm sure that many of you would be affected by it. Again, please don't read it and complain about me spoiling one of the most important plot points in the movie. I'm just trying to share information. If I violated the forum rules or too many people said I shouldn't say things like that, I will immediately remove the spoiler. (I feel really, really bad about saying that. I'm sorry for those who got upset about it. I hate myself for doing that. I'm a terrible person, aren't I? Well, time to get ready for the hate comments I'm going to get for saying that.) Gerard Butler, Stoick's voice actor, is confirmed for the third movie. Yup. It says on every site that Gerard Butler will return for the third film in 2016. And also, even though the film is growing up, it's still for kids and I don't think they'd kill Hiccup's father. Thank you!! Someone finally understands that it's a kids film!

Now name as many kid's films as you can where one of the protagonist's parents dies (I can think of three off the top of my head). Now, to be fair, as far as I know, Spoiler: click to toggle Having a good character kill one of the protagonist's parents would be something new for kid's films.
	Number of times I've watched the trailer: 18. My pet peeve: people who refer to complete strangers by their first name. The correct ways to refer to a "John Smith" whom you have never met are Smith, Mr Smith, or John Smith. Not "John". He's not your buddy.

Logically they wouldn't lie and I'm actually sick of people saying it can't happen since HTTYD2 is a "kids movie". It's not/.
