I hate how short it was. With that much content they needed a longer movie
Did you want to wait another year to two?

Anyway... I do believe the flow of the movie - as someone stated, I believe - did feel a little off. But I feel the good outweighs the bad... but, perhaps, that's just the inner "fan-boy" speaking.

I think I've asked this before, but I don't recall getting an answer: are there any specific examples you can think of where the soundtrack didn't match the scene? Well, other than the first use of "Where No One Goes".
Parts of "Battle the Bewilderbeast" and some others I can't place now since I last saw it Sunday.

Thank Odin some one else agrees with me on this...

I'm afraid right now I don't have a specific example but I'm definetly going to watch it again over the weekend so I will come back and give you a better answer. For now even if it isn't the best example I remember I was bothered by "the dancing and the dreaming". Now I personnally love the song, it makes me remember the kind of songs you learn in europe with friends or when you're in bars or in competitions etc, and the soundtrack version is beautiful, BUT the way it was introduced in the movie was terrible, the intention was good but the execution was bad, it didn't fit together.

Now that I think that is another problem in this movie there were a lot of good ideas but they were badly executed, the execution lacked tremendously.

I am... swaggy

I can finally post now that I've seen the movie! (I loved it)

What I didn't like was the lack of character development that Eret, Drago, and the rest of the gang deserved.

I must be the only one who doesn't think the "gang" needs to be developed any more than they are....

All we know that happened in the five years is that Snotlout and Fishlegs grew facial hair and had a crush on Ruffnut, who buried Snotlout alive for a few hours.

Yeah..?
I didn't find that enough. I think they could've elaborated a little more on what happened to them.

I think its plenty.... I mean one of the main issues with the movie is that theres so much happening in such a short film, between Hiccup, Valka, Stoick, Toothless, Eret, Astrid, and Drago... AKA the main characters.... all of those people needed more time. I know everyone loves the four other kids, and dont get me wrong they're great, but the truth is they're not important, they are comic relief filler characters... I'm glad they devoted all of their extremely limited time on characters who are actually important to the story.
