HD (High Definition) means that the video has at a horizontal resolution of at least 720 pixels, in case of FullHD it is at least 1080 pixels.

A DVD video has a resolution of 704x576 pixels, that's SD (Standard Definition).
Blu-Ray videos have a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, it's FullHD. Blu-Rays also support FullHD 3D streams, that means you have 2 FullHD images in one, it's called "Frame Packing".

So DVD only have 720 pixels right?

No, DVD has, as Zer0x said, a DVD has a resolution of 704x576 pixels(if you're in Europe or any other places that use the PAL format. If you're in places that uses NTSC format, the resolution would be 720x480 pixels. Go look up resolutions on Wikipedia.) So there's at least 704x576 amount of pixels on the screen while displaying it, not 720 pixels only.

Besides, I think you're getting confused the term 720p with 720 pixels. 720p means a resolution with a height of 720 pixels, while 720 pixels means the entire resolution only has 720 pixels on it, which is not a lot in display standards. Resolution is usually shown by the amount pixels on the width, if you look at it as a rectangle, times the amount of pixels on the height. then the area of the rectangle is the resolution.
Nothing is in this signature, except this sentence describing that there is nothing in this signature.

Seriously, I, [INSERT USERNAME HERE] have nothing to say here. Continue on with your viewing of not-so regularly scheduled posts.

[INSERT CALMING, SUITABLE FOR READING MUSIC]

Sorry to interrupt, I just wanna say....uh...what was I trying to say again? Never mind, continue reading.

Walmart has their pre-order out finally, and the blu-ray, dvd, digital also comes with a sheep toss game

http://www.walmart.com/ip/How-To-Train-Your-Dragon-2-Blu-ray-DVD-Digital-HD-Sheep-Toss-Game-Walmart-Exclusive-Widescreen/38575876

must say I am more inclined to get the sheep "baaa-ckboard" than the mini zippleback (that you can buy for $5) from target

That seems more like a placeholder date, than a real one.
