Imagine you have been asked to create the ultimate HTTYD video game. How would make the game? Would you make it like the other games, or would you create something totally new? Would you combine your favorite elements from the online and console games with your own ideas? Would it be a console game or online? Would you use anything from the show or movies, or even both? Think about what you would consider to be the perfect HTTYD video game. |
"There's something you must remember when riding a dragon. There's no manual, no safety harness, no guarantees when you're on one of these beasts. All you have is the wind in your hair, and the clothes on your back. The only thing between you and that dragon is your saddle. You need to hold onto it for dear life, as that creature takes you the skies. That, is dragon riding." | |

Lots of exploring different areas on any of the dragons, with any of the riders. Beautiful animated cutscense when you reach a major plot part (es there would be plot). Lots and lots of free flight modes with special aerial movements you can pull off whenever you want. |

That would be awesome! That was my one disappointment with the first game, I was hoping you could fly freely with your dragon and go wherever you wanted to go to. |

MMORPG with storyline the same as HtTYD2. You customize your character and unlock new features as you progress through the game, take a test to match you with any of the canon (movie) species of dragons or choose a partner for yourself, have the option to hatch a dragon and customize it (like colors and a few skin patterns) or befriend a wild dragon but not have the ability to customize (you still name it of course). In order to befriend and train your chosen dragon (hatchling or wild), you must follow the steps to train that specific species, such as playing with light-reflections or dragon nip and etc. Once a strong relationship is built, and if the dragon is old enough to fly, you can take to the skies. At that stage, you can test your skills together from search-and-rescue to battle training. You will also have to finish some solo (no dragon involved) training before being able to progress through the story, like Spoiler: click to toggle
Free-flight/free-wander modes will be available throughout the entire time in the game except during important or timed quests. Explorable areas include lands and tribes discovered in HtTYD 1 and 2 and in the tv series. If you want to get to one place to another that are far apart from each other, you can take the long and scenic route there by walking/sailing/flying, or taking a "speed flight" (only unlocked when your dragon can fly) which is like teleporting. Some quests require teamwork (friends) to complete. Guilds (clubs) can be created for your friends or anyone interested in joining. Once you've completed the story-line, you can keep playing and role-playing with friends for as long as you like. New post-story quests will be unlocked and available to take on, and you will receive special and unique items. You can trade items with friends, buy items at a shop with gold or trade with Trader Johann. The game is completely free, but certain exclusive items can only be bought with real money. The cost will be $0.45-$1 per single item, and $2-$5 per package. Items/packages for farming, housing, equipment, healing, and food. You don't have to buy these in order to beat the game, however. Game will be available worldwide, and when paying for items/packages, currency will need to be converted. Languages will include English, French, Spanish, Portugese, German, Italian, and Chinese. Mods can be made by players and installed independently. Updates to the game will be made whenever there is one, including seasonal undates (i.e. Snoggletog). Any bugs can be reported on the game site's forum. The sad part is, this game would take a REALLY long time to make considering there are so many features. Lastly, I congratulate you for reading this far. o_o |

That's pretty awesome. But the items would need to be more expensive, or it would need to be subscription based. MMOs are damn expensive to run and maintain. And what about combat? Every MMORPG needs combat, and once you've finished the main quest normally the only thing you have left to do are Raids and PvP. So what would they be like? Oh and I think the clans in this should be called something like academies. |
