When valka first met hiccup I was confused as to why she kinda touched his stubbles and recognised him. But yesterday when I went to see it again I noticed in the flashback that baby hiccup started crying at one point when cloudjumper is playing with him. Then I saw something on his face and was like "hey is that a cut?". Then I understood why he started crying, cloudjumper had accidently cut him. Then I thought to myself "that's how she recognised hiccup! The cut on his face". I noticed it that time, but that first time round I was a little confused. It didn't seem oblivious at all. |

He's had the scar since the first movie but its not very noticeable. my sister didn't notice that valka recognized him by the scar until the second time either. |

I thought they did a close-up of the scar and then Valka recognized him. |

It didn't really make sense to me because I never saw cloudjumper accidently cut him in the flashback. |

It was when he turned around to face Valka, since he was playing with Hiccup with a claw, when he turned it scratched him. I have no idea what I'm saying. |
