Just random musing, I wonder if Hiccup developed his fear of dragons when he was a child because Cloudjumper scratched him as a baby. If you look at the clip of that, Hiccup's expression immediately turns to fear towards Cloudjumper right after he gets scratched. I don't know if someone already thought of this but what do you all think? |

It was probably a natural response to being scratched, because he was a baby after all, and the way babies respond to pretty much anything is by crying. Hear a loud noise?  Hungry? Dirty diaper? Just plain bored? And in Hiccup's case, getting scratched on the chin?
