If Hiccup and Astrid do get married, I hope things stay the same between them, like how we see them just goofing around on Itchy Armpit, and that Astrid doesn't magically turn into Mrs. Nagging Wife Character Trope. And even though women weren't allowed to be Viking chiefs, I would like to see Astrid helping keep things running smoothly around Berk, and being his second-in-command, his right (or rather, his left) hand. I like it when couples aren't just "I love you, I love you too", but actually make a good team and can work with each other. |

I really want to see a Hiccstrid wedding, but I think it should be in a short rather than the main films That way the plot doesn't get distracted

If there is a wedding, I would want it to just be a quick snippet of a scene, like five seconds. A quick shot of Gothi marrying them, maybe a shot of Gobber crying, and then a kiss, before fading to a different scene. But if they do a wedding scene at all, the part with Gobber crying would be non-negotiable for me. |

You realize, people are already saying that just the wedding would be taking away from the focus of the film. A baby would be adding whole entire subplot.  Edit: Plus, many people (myself included) were upset because Astrid didn't get nearly enough ass-kicking badassery as she deserved, and that she didn't really have much of anything to do in the second movie. Being pregnant would just ensure that she stays helplessly sidelined. However, when they do have that rumored final scene where Hiccup and the others are standing looking at the sky, saying, "there were dragons when I was a boy", I wouldn't mind if Astrid were either pregnant or holding a baby or a young child, because that would be at the absolute end of the series and wouldn't distract from the plot or focus, and it would be very sweet, I think.

I would definitely prefer it overall if they made them both more involved as a working team, they partners already, so seeing Astrid do some work to aid or even take over from Hiccup for a bit wouldn't go amiss. Implied wedding ending is a good idea too, probably the best time for it to be honest. |
