But seriously. After the series ends, I will seriously start dying. Seriously serious series.

I'm gonna say one more time.

Wedding, 4th movie and/or a happy ending, I am out of this fandom.
i'm not very active anymore!! it's sad, but i'll come back sometimes to feel nostalgic ahaha

Dean already decided. Everything will end in httyd 3.
He said that in httyd 3, they finally have explanation about why dragons aren't exist now.
I got this from this interview.

Uhh, I hope Jeffrey Katzenberg's wish that there will be httyd 4 become true. Well, explaining how they disappear is not enough for 90 minutes length. I expect for 150 min length, so everything will explained properly and no scene will be fast paced.

That interview says it will be a trilogy, not that everything will end. I have heard from wikipedia and other sources that Dreamworks is considering a HTTYD spin off.

I have not see anywhere where he has said that there will be no spin offs, so I am saying; yes this will be the end of this trilogy, but there might be more later. From what I have heard on recent interviews, Dean hasn't really decided yet and is keeping it all very secret even with his staff.

Interesting article/interview. Really sounds like they're going to end the franchise by having an older Hiccup speak that infamous line. As sad as I think it will be to hear those words, I like the idea. Life doesn't always have that happy "fairy-tail" ending and it's about time a franchise ended with a more bittersweet closure.

To stay on topic, I guess my fears for the third movie are similar to that of the second (before I saw it). Both movies (1 and 2) ended perfectly. The franchise could've finished and I would feel satisfied, like there was nothing left that needed to be shown. I just don't want one "bad" movie to destroy the whole franchise for me. (I really don't know how to put this into words...).
