Httyd 3 Plot Ideas

Well, I love Eret, so I would not be opposed to any of this :) I want the third film to be heavy on the Eret and Valka and the history of Night Furies.

I really hope Eret is one of the interesting characters to have more importance in the third, and Valka too, which I guess is a given. :P

I personally hope for Drago to come back but with a new dragon army. Then I wonder how will Dreamworks explain why dragons no longer exist but I personally think that it will have something to do with Toothless being Alpha. So just share your thoughts and ideas for the 3rd movie plot. :P

3. dragon controls human? What might that look like? Is that why Hiccup would think dragons and humans need to be separated?

(sorry if I'm covering old ground--this is not a stellar week for me, and so tend to be distracted)
Interesting pattern... Although I'm not sure how dragon controls human could link to Hiccup separating them... Human controlling dragons had power because the dragons had the capability to be used as devastating weapons. Not sure humans have that capability (unless you count armies but I'm not sure how much sense that would make).

For you fanfic authors, this presentation bears studying closely.

Here are the most interesting slides from this presentation; the ones that may apply best to Movie 3.





It talks about the Hero structure, and you can take some guesses about what's going to happen to Hiccup from this, but what would it look like if you apply it to Toothess as Hero as well?

This part might give a hint as to what's in store for Toothless:

So what do you think could happen in HTTYD3 that would match this structure.

But..

What if Toothless died?

In the end of HTTYD3, to be clear.
Maybe in such a sad way that's good for the story and that will rip the feelings out of your body..

I agree though that another sad scene might be too much.. But I think that in httyd3 there should still be consequences for actions of what the characters do. Such as hiccups leg and Stoicks death. That is something what partially defines httud for me, at least the movies. Depth, consequences and a unique and compelling story. What I really want to see is more of Berk and the life there, we got none of that in httyd2.. But we'll have to see what story Dean comes up with.

Oh absolutely, I'm not saying it should be suppy happy funtime extraordinaire with chocolate sprinkles on top, I'm just saying it doesn't have to crush everyone's feelings with a 37 tonne monster truck and finish them off with a couple bulldozer strikes.
