I think it was one of ![]() He also said that the dragons documented in the Dragon's Eye seemed like they were from outside the Archipelago (or something along those lines). Which could suggest that Drago was the one who discovered them. And that tribal crest that was found at the beginning of episode three when the Dragon's Eye was pointed at the wall could have been Drago's tribe's crest. Presumably his family had been killed and his village destroyed by then (that's why he probably turned to discovering dragons; a little like Hiccup's "mapping the world"), so he might have put it there to honour them. Just speculation. ![]() ![]() |

While I doubt it belonged to either Eret or Drago, I do think whoever may have owned it may have know of or maybe worked for one of them at least. Though I'm not going to say who it specifically belonged to since it might be up for some debate(for now). I do think it can be safely said though that it is a dragon hunters ship. (I mean the writers were fairly on the nose about those remarks.) I doubt the dragons eye has much to do with Drago. I mean he doesn't have much of a need to know or understand dragons to accomplish his goal. I also feel Drago wasn't much up for honoring the dead family or no. (Though this is about as much a guess as anything else since we don't know much at all about him.) It also doesn't make much sense to come out to a crashed ship in the middle of the sea to honor your village(even if that ship was from your village).Dragon hunters though (and for that matter trappers) do need to have some understanding of their quarry to better hunt and capture them. So the dragons eye being created by a group of dragon hunters wherever they may be from and whomever they may serve makes more sense (to me at least). |

It's actually Cuneiform writings. It's all written in this language. Here are some words that we decoded ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And there's also one thing that worry us. Sign known as "wolfangel". Read about it on Wikipedia. Really worrying. ![]() |

Oh! So that might mean that the Dragon's Eye really was made by trappers! (Since the "wolfsangel" was a wolf trap.) |

I wonder, if the Reaper belonged to Dragon Trappers why did they invent the Dragon's Eye? I mean, if Dragon Trappers would have created it, wouldn't it contain the weaknesses of Dragons and ways how to capture Dragons the best? For me the Dragon's Eye looks like it was made by a Dragon Friend, not an Enemy. Maybe it just was stolen by a Dragon Trapper, but he didn't know how to use it. I think we will find it out in the next half of season 3 or in season 4 |

That's cool! ![]() By the way, upon looking at the image with the dragon cage and the symbols on the bars, and the corresponding symbol chart below it, I've been able to work out that the symbols on the bars might have been some kind of tally chart (since there are numbers on the left side of the symbols on the chart) - e.g. a record of how many dragons were in that cage; strengthening the possibility that the Reaper is- or was- a dragon trappers' ship. |
