It would be the same as one would spay/neuter a dog. Just take out the egg/sperm makers.
The only problem with this procedure is that reptiles don't do well under anesthesia.
Gobber doesn't have anesthesia though. Besides it would probably have to be done in several cuts, not one swift move like in the gif.

That might work. Or maybe the flightmare's paralyzing fire. Did the flightmare's attack work on dragons?

If I remember right, none of the dragons got hit with the Flightmare's spit. So I don't know if it would work or not.
