I thought the Masters of Berk thing was proven to be false? And that some one just made it up.

But to confirm, if there was another season, they will remain the same age as httyd 2... right?

Dragons: Rise of Berk will likely be the official title. Dreamworks trademarked it.

Also, Dreamworks Channel.

I think the chances are that it will be still be set before HTTYD 2. But if they do keep it before HTTYD 2 they need to start ageing the characters.

Most likely they're just protecting their assets and IP.

That trademark says it's for a mobile app if you read the text, so I don't think we can count on a season called Rise of Berk either.

As for the timeframe, I remember John Sanford saying awhile back that he believed a potential third season would be set pre-Dragons 2, but with an older cast. I don't know how much that really counts for at this point though. John has moved on to other projects, and since no work has even started on a third season, I'd imagine pretty much anything about it would be subject to change if it were ever greenlit.
Come death. Come suffering. I will not live in fear. In this fleeting life where time escapes us, the path of least resistance is a slow quiet death. I'd rather burn out than fade away.

Even though it has never been confirmed I'd really love a third season! What I enjoyed most about the series was the personal encounters the characters had with the other types of wild dragons such as Scauldron Changewing etc I liked the fact that we got to know more about each type of dragon and their personality. I was really disappointed that they never did an episode with Timberjack or Snaptrapper.

Just thought I'd put an update on this topic..
In this interview (around 6:26), Dean Deblois basically says that they're preparing for a third season, but doesn't know whether it's been confirmed yet. Also that it would follow on from the second movie. Logically I guess there would be another two seasons to bridge the gap between HTTYD2 and HTTYD3, much like they did with the first two, but that's just my theory.

He said in the panel that the third season would set up the second movie. So it wouldn't be set after HTTYD2. It would take place after season 2 of the show, but before the movie HTTYD2. While I like bridging the gap, I think it will be weird watching older Hiccup in HTTYD2 and going back to younger Hiccup again in the show. If they were only going to get two seasons of the show in before HTTYD2, they should have tried to make season 2 the connecting season, but oh well.
"Thank you for summing that up."
