I get what you're saying. I think we'll just have to wait and see. If the 4th season takes place after the second film, then maybe they'll explain what happened to him. But who knows, we'll have to see what happens.
"There's something you must remember when riding a dragon. There's no manual, no safety harness, no guarantees when you're on one of these beasts. All you have is the wind in your hair, and the clothes on your back. The only thing between you and that dragon is your saddle. You need to hold onto it for dear life, as that creature takes you the skies. That, is dragon riding."

I'm highly doubting the friend part especially since he was locked in prison due to Hiccup and the gang.
Yeah that kinda sucks that he would be imprisoned. Especially since someone like Alvin(whose crimes were probably worst) was forgiven so easily.
Ah but that is the trouble of storytelling. One can never make anything truly convincing like his "turn" without some faults.
Yeah, I don't truly trust Alvin.

Why would somebody only watch the series? That would make NO sense to me at all.
Yeah, I agree. But there are probably people out there that might not know there's movies attach to it. Obviously a fan watching the show has seen the films, but maybe the parents, siblings or friends might have not watched them.

Yeah, I don't either. He is called Alvin the TREACHEROUS after all.

Yeah, that's what I think. If the show is truly a bridge between films, they would explain what happened.

I know they don't follow the books, but I really sincerely hope that Alvin isn't this nice guy now. 1. It would seem too awkward. 2. It would make his character even worse, since I was already disappointed.

XD That's actually what I'm hoping to see too! I just want to see more from the new characters than anything. (And of course Hiccup and the gang!)

I love Alvin in the show,(not familiar with the books) but I prefer him as a villain. He's such a awesome bad guy. If he stays good, I won't be upset about it, but I prefer him to be a villain. Maybe they'll introduce a new villain.
