3: Perhaps a flashback about Drago for Stoick. Maybe just to develop their relationship a bit more. I know this takes precedence in HTTYD 2, and they have only seen each other for a few minutes, but it would be cool to see a bit more about what Stoick lost in his encounter, and why he is so afraid of Drago.
15: If a series does take place after HTTYD 2, then much more of Eret is needed.

Right! List of stuff. Beware: it's long.
This also includes a bit about what I would like to see in any series which takes place after HTTYD 2. Whether that is series 3 or 4, I don't know or mind.

1: Never mind about Hiccstrid, I wanna see more Hicctooth!
2: Dagur - he's a classic character. He just has to be in the next series.
3: Perhaps a flashback about Drago for Stoick. Maybe just to develop their relationship a bit more. I know this takes precedence in HTTYD 2, and they have only seen each other for a few minutes, but it would be cool to see a bit more about what Stoick lost in his encounter, and why he is so afraid of Drago.
4: As well as this, since Gothi can tell when you die from your tongue, perhaps an increasingly worried Stoick going to see Gothi about his worries.
5: Okay, I ship Hiccstrid.
6: Stoick, perhaps leading on from before, spending some much needed Father-son time with Hiccup.
7: Perhaps have a little sub-plot with Hiccup going behind Stoick's back a bit about loving Astrid. Only in the last episode of the season is it revealed that Stoick actually is pleased about Hiccup and Astrid being a couple, which leads on to the statement in HTTYD 2 about 'future daughter-in-law'.
8: MOAR SPITELOUT! I mean, David Tennant in Dragons? What could be better?
9: Some nice memories of Valka.
10: Teens bonding time, especially Hiccup and Snotlout, because although Snotlout and Fishlegs still seem to be hostile towards each other in HTTYD 2, they all seem to really respect Hiccup.
11: Perhaps the reason for the respect is a big battle, which Hiccup wins, cementing Hiccup and Astrid's relationship, and making the Teens admire him even more than in RoB and DoB. Perhaps a line saying something like,
"Wow! He's awesome! Who knew?"
Astrid chiming in with,
"Yep. And he's all mine!"
12: More of Astrid's 'communication'.
13: I have already said that I absolutely love the dynamics of Hicctooth, but I really want to see more of Astorm. (or is it Stormstrid? Or maybe Astfly?) It has been said often that they don't give Stromfly enough character in the series, and I really want to see that change.
14: More dragon and rider bonding, especially MORE MEATLEGS! That is the strangest relationship, but also the most interesting other than Hicctooth. But also, I really want to see relationship development between Barf and Ruffnut. They seem to have a very complex relationship in the second film.
15: If a series does take place after HTTYD 2, then much more of Eret is needed.
16: Gothi and her Terrible Terrors!
17: If the series takes place before HTTYD 2, perhaps a little allusion to Valka's return. Maybe seeing something in the distance which alludes to the Bewilderbeast or Cloudjumper.
18: Meh. Maybe some Trader Johann. Although I think that Berk may have scared him off one too many times. Mostly with the incident about the Smothering Smokebreaths.
19: Ruffnut burying Snotlout!

That's basically it, I think. Sorry for the length and everything else. Including all of the relationship references.

1. Yes! I just found out who Dagur's VA is, so besides being stunned, I'm glad we'll see more of him.
3. Yeah, maybe show how or when he starts making his map.
4. Hints at it, at least ... Though in the movie, it seemed to be a recent (within a year) development or at least maybe since he was 18?
7. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the press release mentioned the flight suit and sword. His new leg would be good --the tv show has him using Gobber's design, right? Maybe it could work in with your height thing: Hiccup gets a growth spurt and has to build a new leg. It's been done a lot in fanfic, LOL.
8. Yes! That could be really adorable ...
11. Gustav and introducing some younger characters could be good ...

I'm also interested in seeing the new character designs. Reminds me a bit of what they did in Star Wars: The Clone Wars ... I think they updated their character models in season three also?

I'm a huge Hiccup/Astrid fan, so I'm dying to see some "Hiccstrid" but I'm also super apprehensive, because the writing on the show has been hit or miss so far. I really love the comfortable chemistry they have in the second film, so seeing their relationship mature from close friends to something more romantic would be amazing, but I'm just not sure if the tv show can pull it off (especially since it seems to be aimed at younger children). Even the Avatar/Korra series seems to have trouble writing romantic relationships recently ...

How about how Gobber and Stoick got their new dragons?

And, some hinting at Gobber's sexuality, but they'd have to do it veeeerrrry carefully to avoid pissing off parents.
