Ooh, you just started the Civil War with dragon fans. XD I have to say the book. I love the characters more, the darkness, the humor, the realistic part of it. No one is coming back to life, blah, blah, blah. Plus, I've grown to love Hiccup. |

What should I write on my signature? Hmm... I am a Httyd, Gravity Falls and Portal (One and two) fan. I'm also a bookworm and an introvert. That was pretty random, but that's me summed up in two sentences. | |

I chose "movie". For one thing, I saw the movie before I read the books (and even then I only read the first one). I probably would've loved the books if they had been out when I was in middle school/early high school, but it just felt too easy of a read for me and I hadn't read a picture book in years. As for the movie, I connected with the characters (especially Hiccup). Plus his relationship with Toothless and how it progresses is like me and my cat. My cat was also a stray (though she was not "downed" in any way) and it took a long time to get her to trust me. Now, she literally follows me everywhere around the house. Um...yeah, didn't mean to go all psycho-analysis mode on this topic. It kinda just happened... |

This is clearly one of the few exceptions where the movie is far superior than the book. |

Yeah, the first one is not all that great. The newest ones, 9, 10, 11, are great though. The pictures are a bit young, but I like them. I would have said the movies as well if I read the first only. You should try the later books! |
