Chapter 6: Dragonmarkers "Welcome, Ahnok, to the Clan of the Dragonmarkers.' My father said. We walked up to the Chief. My father bowed. "You don't need to bow to me, Konaar. I'm not a Bewilderbeast.' The Chief laughed. "I know, Thur.' he smiled. 'Of course, you could never be as great as a Bewilderbeast, anyway.' he joked. "Now, who's this? Your son?' Thur asked. My father pushed me fowards. "Say hello to Thur.' "H-hi, Thur.' I stammered. Thur laughed. "Your son is quite something, isn't he?' "Yes. He is.' my father smiled proudly. "Now, come with me, lad. We have things to discuss.' "Everyone!' he yelled. "We have a new Dragonmarker here with us today. I will be performing the Ceremony for him.' "Now, boy, kneel down.' He stood over me. "Now, I will give you the Dragonmark.' He produced a brand from his pocket, in the shape of an S, and pressed it above my left ear. "We always put it right there, for our ancestor, Hiccup The Third, had it in the same place.' he said. "You are, now and forever, a Companion Of The Dragonmark.' he said those famous words. "Now, Ahnok, come and sit with me.
