His left hand looks different and the picture is a bit darker than the one from the artbook. These are probably the only changes (exept for the axe).
He also seems to have something hanging from his right hip

I'd just ignore that. I think that was added for the sake of making the art books cover look cool.

Guys... I don't think it's stoic's axe


I mean it might be for sure, but that's weird that they would change the weapon Hiccup is holding in the pic.

If anything it looks like Astrid's (which is not a good pic here... but better than Stoick's):

Or it might be Hiccup's own axe for all we know.

Yea I'm not sure how seriously we can take it. It is a concept picture...so either its an early version of Stoick's or Astrid's axe, or it was just added for the drama of the scene and not to be taken literally. I highly doubt it's Hiccup's. We know he has Inferno, and an axe just doesn't seem his style. Here's a thought: the axe could be Drago's and he's holding it up in victory
