Bookverse Hiccup's POV

When school was over I went to get my school books out of my locker to go home. Closing the door and slinging my back pack over my shoulder, I noticed, standing right next to me, was a small blond girl with an irritated expression. I jumped, startled that someone was close by.

"Someone woulda thought you'd seen a ghost." She stated in a slight accent while rolling her eyes. "Name's Camicazi." She continued to chatter. "Did I really spook you that bad?" A grin appeared on her lips as if she was humored by this.

"Yep. You got me..." I laughed nervously and made one of the most stupid looking grins anyone would have ever seen in their entire life. Hopefully this wouldn't be mentioned at tomorrow's lunch period. My embarrassing moments tend to be spilt to other people. I had a reason for my awkwardness.

You see, I was startled because I thought she might have seen inside my bag if she had been standing there the whole time. This morning I had let my cat, Toothless, come with me to school in my back pack. Don't ask why… You'll find out later.

Camicazi seemed to be pleased with this answer and smiled wider. "Boys are always so easy to scare." She said carelessly before going into a rant with herself. I assumed this as the perfect time to leave the conversation and quickly hurried on my way.

Walking too fast, I crashed into the same boy I met earlier that morning. My books clattered to the floor again and I scrambled down to get them. When was I going to stop being so clumsy? "I'm so sorry!" I apologized quickly, trying to be polite.

"It's perfectly fine." The brunette laughed lightheartedly. "Aren't you the kid I met this morning?" He questioned curiously. "Same name. Same school. What an odd coincidence, huh?" He smiled.

"Yup... Very odd." I agreed in the same fast paced manner, admittedly not paying much attention.

"Well it was nice meeting you." He smiled kindly.

"You too." I responded quickly and ran out the doors. Why did I have to be such a screw up?
