Number of tickets sold is that third number, labeled 购票

Edit: The number just went up 400 as I've been watching

Edit: A Google Translated review on the page:

Four years ago, the first animated film made at the box office, the story memorable novel, after a lapse of four years, it will return to join toothless and other roles, to launch a new round of adventures, the emergence of the second part I was pleasantly surprised, support tame Your Dragon! Immortal God for! To bring you the shock and hilarious scene!

If anybody speaks Chinese, they could log into the site and give their own review of it. Not sure if it would be considered Western Spam, but hey, just thought I'd mention it.

By the time I came back from my grueling afternoon and rechecked the Chinese tickets site, HTTYD2 went from 7.0 rating to 8.8 and from 17202 ticket presales to 34011 ticket presales. They had lots of nice things to say in the reviews section, too.

Here's a few, courtesy of Google Translate:

Sub-plot warm episodes compact. Relative domestic cartoons bring children more pure harmony of the sky.

"Pure harmony of the sky." Nice.

Nice degree does not lose its predecessor, a group of funny than selling Meng Long! The first part would not have missed the second miss it! The only shortcoming is stuck in the middle of the projector Studio City, fortunately promptly repaired.

Those darn Studio City projectors....

No teeth nice and compact picture cute crazy story, but after the second half of the child is really a child to have people spit out a mouthful of blood

Dudes, what did they do to the Chinese edit of HTTYD2?
Actually, have no idea.

(Very exciting liked)

She rated it a 10, too.

Looks good, theater is also good, the ticket is also fast ... very exciting liked

She rated it a 10 and included a picture of Astrid.

(Recently some great friends seconds domestic animation 130 Main Street! Plot screen 3D effects are good top praise! !)

Again, no clue. Must have been good though, rated it a 10

This person rated it a 3, but I think it had something to do with frustration over getting tickets. And 3D glasses:

Also did not go UME has been very unhappy, first, a little better now Hangzhou cinema has clip 3D, his family was so bulky glasses. Second, do not take home Guevara personalized ticket machine can print movie tickets, not on his home. Service is really bad! Difficult to eat popcorn. After the try not to UME.

And remember, kids, do not take home Guevara.

This person rated it a 1:
国内票房一般般 (Domestic box office like a general)

Um....he would prefer Buster Keaton movies?

(August ~ \ (≧ ▽ ≦) / ~ great! ! ! Although I had read grab version, but still must see genuine! ! !)

I think what she's saying besides "Asians have cooler emoticons than Westerners" is that she downloaded the movie off the Internet, but it was so awesome that she's going to see it at the theater.

No.8 顺着逆、

No.8 along the inverse,

Can anyone tell me, Wanda Cinema student ID can half? ? ?

Um, my guess--rated it an 8, wants to know if Wanda Cinema gives student discounts with ID.

Reading those comments from Chinese viewers was a lot of fun. (Why am I still up?)

I'm doubting that Box Office Mojo would actually list China back on HTTYD2's foreign box office numbers...Seeing that they didn't add the numbers for China for the HTTYD, even I know that it was shown there.

In other news, HTTYD2 grossed about 490 million worldwide, closing in on the first one's 494. If Box Office Mojo would add back China's numbers, I think it might tie with the first one, maybe surpassing it, depending on whether Box Office Mojo would add back the numbers to the first one.

Also, I think I can translate the reviews that you posted back into English much better than Google Translate.

Awesome! It beats most other recent Chinese Animated Movies, and knocked them out of the park! The story, the visuals and the 3D effects are top of the class!

(I think this a rant...more than a proper review...)
I'm already upset with going to UME. First of all, nowadays, movies that are shown in Hangzhou cinemas are already available in 3D, but they still have those bulky glasses.
(I think that he could be watching the IMAX version and he didn't know about it, so he thought that he was watching the regular 3D version, and that's why he's complaining about the glasses. Anyway, moving on.)
Second, Other tickets providing companies like Gewara can already let you print out the movie tickets, but this provider couldn't! And wirst of all, the service was terrible! The popcorn was bad. I won't go to UME to watch movies again.

The domestic box office is performing poorly.
I think he's referring to the entire box office of China in general...though it might be me, hoping that is true, instead of referring to HTTYD2 performance in China...

It's August! Awesome! Even though I've watched the pirated version of it, I'm still going to watch the genuine version!
Yep...China, the king of pirating things.

(No idea what the first sentence was referring to.)
Can anyone tell me if I used my student ID card, can I watch movies at half price in Wanda?
*sigh*No matter where you are, you will still see someone would ask something that you can search online in a moment.

Well..some of the translations where either something that are similar to Google Translate's, only better at making making it grammatical and trying to make the most sense out of it, or it lost its original meaning. Well, at least I tried.

Don't ask me. They tend to add a lot of unrelated stuff into the movie because they want to censor topics are sensitive to the government. So...I have no idea what they added.
Nothing is in this signature, except this sentence describing that there is nothing in this signature.

Here is some info on China's response to httyd 2 today, according to one of the Chinese httyd forum/ chat blog dedicated to httyd (which up to now has a membership of 18840 members and counting :O ) Click here to visit their site~ (Language in Chinese though)

1. Many of them went for the first viewing and loved it! Some mentioned crying in the movie even though they already know the whole plot of the story.
2. It seems that httyd 2 is the only IMAX movie showing in China this week and it is pretty much packed. However, a few also stated that some of the cinemas (3D/2D) were pretty empty and one had only 5 watching.
3. Found quite a few replies saying that they would revisit the movie to boost box office :D

I love this one:

爱上越越 9.0

等待四年的第二部确实没有让我们失望 我和我老婆看的赞不绝口 该片的情节和对勇敢无私善良的诠释堪称完美 十分值得到影院观看 千万别错过

The more in love with the 9.0

Wait four years of the second part did not let us down to see me and my wife was full of praise for the film's plot and interpretation of brave and selfless goodness perfect worthwhile to theater to watch Do not miss

At least poeple are urging other people to see it in the theaters.
