"Well, again good luck with that." Abby said. "Now then leave these two people alone and I won't tell of your threat." She turned to Derik and Lucy, both of which she didn't really know the names of. "Now then, if he bugs you, come to town and ask for Abby. Someone will direct you to me." With that said, she turned and left for town. |

Meyla made sure the boy had something to eat before getting her own meal. "So... you're an air bender." He looked at her, not sure what she was implying. "There are no other male air benders around here..." she said, and stared off at the wall as she ate. "Are there any where you come from?" Kaj shook his head. "No... I'm the only one there too. Only air bender. I was surprised there were others." Meyla nodded. "Well... I think we are at the eve of battle, if what you says is true. Let's go get you some armour." The pair wandered through the house and gathered their armour. Stoick appeared through the door in the middle and clapped his hands. "Kaj, it looks like you were right. I sent out a scout ship as soon as you said we might be under attack. The armada is headed this way. They'll be here soon. I want everyone ready, so get over to the cliffs. Meyla nodded as he left, and could hear the clatter and yelling of others out in the streets, already preparing. |

As Vlad flew over the town on Scauldy he noticed that everyone seemed in a hurry or agitated. Some people even looked scared and most of the town was armouring up. He saw Meyla and a strange boy exiting Meyla's house and told Scauldy to fly over to them. He landed in front of them with a thud and slid of Scauldy's moist hide. "What's going on Meyla and who are you?" he asked, the last part directed at the new guy. |

Meyla went over, glad that Vlad was okay after the... whatever that was that had happened to him. She vowed never to tell him that she was the one who saved his life. "We're under attack. There's an island who knows about us... and let's just say they want to eradicate benders altogether." She said as she worked on Kaida's saddle. "And I'm Kaj," the man replied, stretching out his hand in greeting. |
