 Erland and Marge in the rain. I wanted to practice a rain effect and dark shading. Drew all this with my finger with no reference and I'm so happy. |

First time I'm seeing someone attempt a character in the rain so  I love how you did the steaks across his face and down his hair. The only thing I would say though is that if he really is standing out in the rain his hair would be more of a clump and matted. Still really cool water effects. Also are Marge and Erland mad at each other. They don't seem to be getting along in the picture.

Didn't think of that XD I might have remembered if I intended it to be in the rain originally. I originally was just drawing both of them in a random pose for fun because I was at the eye doctor and bored out of my mind. Then I figured it really needed a background, and I saw a pic on Instagram with rain so I tried it.  definitely will keep it in mind though. Well, once I got the rain idea it actually gave me a bit of intention for their expressions. There was this time in Erland's life that he got in a bit of an argument with Book Alvin, so Erland left being his apprentice for a small period of time out of anger, and was living alone.But I have a sneaking suspicion that Marge, who was his first caretaker, was still with him secretly, just in case anything ever happened to him. So that's why marge is behind him. |
