hi im réka im developing a mildly unhealthy obsession with obiwan kenobi (more like obiwan kenoBAE am i right) my personal tumblr is ninja-stop im also writing a fantasy/humor novel called RESET which i won nanowrimo 2015 with i have a writing tumblr for it if you wanna check that out yeah thats it this probably isnt what should go in a signature but w/e i have 2 pet buns | |

Hagen's grip on Derik loosened slightly. Exhaustion swept over him from all fronts- he had fought in battle, swam for his life to avoid drowning, and was now arguing bitterly with one of his own people all within a single cycle of the sun! The chief allows Derik to stand. "And I suppose that we are completely useless if we focus on infighting instead of the foreign enemies coming to take our land." Hagen clears his throat sheepishly and holds out his hand. "In my panic, I forgot that one of the most important duties of a chief is to listen to his people and keep them united. If you see a problem, Derik, I must promise to look into it. Forgive me." |

Derik takes his hand. "I'd like to request a private meeting with you to discuss our next moves." Derik looks at the clouds. "Well, looks like the storm is almost over. We live another day. We should be grateful to the gods for they have allowed us to live long enough to make right on what we've wronged." He turns to Ika. "If you wish to leave, you may. The fish is yours and there will be plenty more when we get home." |

The chief chuckled to himself and watched Derik stroll back to his place on his ship. In a small way, it reminded Hagen of himself just a few years earlier- eager to lead and unnerved by anyone who tried to step above him, whether they were qualified to or not. Maybe he was still that way. "Your name is Ika, isn't it?" he asked the dragon. "You didn't happen to see any ships that looked unlike ours as you flew here, did you? Maybe anyone that looked like they were, well, giving chase?" |
