When Eret showed Hiccup and Astrid the scar on his chest that Drago gave him..... Anyone else think that might be a slavemark?! It would make sense, as that might be why Eret was forced to work under Drago's command. Remember at comic con (or some other convention, i cant recall specifics) where someone asked Dean if Hiccup was ever going to get the slavemark and he said "maybe"?? What if in the third movie Drago gives Hiccup the same scar as Eret? |

I haven't seen it yet, but that would make sense. I always thought Eret was just hired by Drago and just can't get out of it, but I didn't think about the possibility of him (maybe) being a slave. |
"There's something you must remember when riding a dragon. There's no manual, no safety harness, no guarantees when you're on one of these beasts. All you have is the wind in your hair, and the clothes on your back. The only thing between you and that dragon is your saddle. You need to hold onto it for dear life, as that creature takes you the skies. That, is dragon riding." | |

They didn't really go in to what that scar was supposed to be, its was just sort of used as a plot device to show how cruel drago is and then wasn't really brought up again. I hope it is a slavemark or is at least important in some way in the third movie. |

It might not come back into the third movie. It might just be an example of how much of a monster he is. I'll have to see for myself what it is. |

^ thats what I was thinking, I remember dean saying hiccup might get it so I think he'd be the most obvious victim. which would suck for him now that he's chief. but I want somebody to get it at least, just because I think the slavemark is a really cool idea. i don't know why they'd introduce Eret's scar and then never bring it up again. |

I thought the scar was like a random burn as punnishment, I was thinkng when I saw the title you meant Hiccup's chief mark on his forhead (which my mom said looked like Toothless in a way, went to quick for me to see it) |

Or Drago could give it to someone Hiccup cares about and finally send Hiccup over the edge emotionally. |
